Evidence Health

Evidence health dashboard illustration

Evidence Health gives you a real-time view of how current your compliance evidence is. Using a traffic-light system, it highlights which evidence is fresh, which is approaching its collection deadline, and which has gone stale — so you can act before gaps become audit findings.

Click the pulse icon (♡) in the sidebar to open the Evidence Health dashboard. The dashboard displays all tracked evidence items with their current freshness status.

The top of the dashboard shows three status counts and an overall health score:

IndicatorColourWhat It Shows
FreshGreenEvidence collected within expected timeframe
AgeingAmberEvidence approaching staleness threshold
StaleRedEvidence overdue or has validation errors

Below the counts, a progress bar shows the overall percentage of fresh evidence and the total number of tracked evidence items.

Every tracked evidence item receives one of three statuses based on how recently it was collected relative to its expected frequency:

StatusColourMeaning
FreshGreenEvidence was collected within the expected timeframe — no action needed
AgeingAmberEvidence is between 1x and 1.5x the expected collection interval — collect soon
StaleRedEvidence is more than 1.5x overdue or has a validation error — action required

Use the filter tabs at the top of the evidence list to focus on specific statuses:

  • All — Show every tracked evidence item
  • Fresh — Show only green-status items
  • Ageing — Show only amber-status items
  • Stale — Show only red-status items

Each tab displays a count of items in that status. Counts update dynamically as evidence is collected or ages.

Each evidence item is displayed as a card showing:

FieldDescription
Evidence IDThe unique identifier for this evidence item
NameDescriptive name of the evidence
Status dotColour-coded indicator (green, amber, or red)
Last collectedDate the evidence was most recently received
Days since collectionNumber of days since the last collection
Collecting systemThe system responsible for providing this evidence

Clicking any evidence card navigates directly to that evidence item in Evidence Scoping, with the item pre-selected and scrolled into view. Use this to investigate stale or ageing evidence and update its collection settings without manually searching.

Staleness thresholds are calculated automatically based on each evidence item’s configured collection frequency. The table below shows the default thresholds:

  1. Check Evidence Health weekly to catch ageing evidence before it turns stale
  2. Address amber items first — they are the easiest to fix before becoming audit findings
  3. Set up automated collection for frequently required evidence to maintain freshness automatically
  4. Use the filter tabs to focus on problem areas rather than scanning the entire list
  5. Ensure collecting systems are operational — a stale evidence item may indicate a system outage or misconfiguration
